The Rhinelander District Library and Wisconsin Literacy are partnering to establish a literacy organization in the Rhinelander area, and we need your help! Did you know that, according to Wisconsin Literacy and the National Center for Education Statistics, 1 in 7 Wisconsin adults struggle with low literacy? The goal of the Rhinelander Literacy Initiative is to empower adults in the Rhinelander area by working with volunteers to provide individualized, one-to-one tutoring.
Volunteer opportunities may include, in addition to tutoring students, tutor training, communications and records management, board membership, project coordination, and event coordination.
Whether you’d like to contribute to the community, develop new skills, meet like-minded individuals, or find your purpose, there is a place for every volunteer. Not sure how you can help? Give us a call!
